The Roar of Silence: Healing Powers of Breath, Tone & MusicCampbell, Don G.
In this book the author summarizes what he has learned in his lifelong search to understand "the transformation and healing power held within the structure of the sonic arts" (p. 1). He says that in his life he had gone back and forth between dynamic research and "inner awareness that is unnameable" (p. 1). At a time when he was physically ill, he had a powerful exceptional human experience in which he found his own music within, and was healed. In this book he describes seven meditations he worked through with the aim of "exploring the inner world through vibration," which he says "is an easily available and grounded way to learn of the spirit" (p. 13).
