Channeling: The Intuitive Connection Kautz, William H., & Branon, Melanie
The authors define channeling as "a mental process in which an individual (the channel), partially or totally sets aside waking consciousness" so that "knowledge that lies beyond conscious awareness can then flow freely into the mind and be conveyed through speaking or writing to others" (pp. 2-3). In this book they set forth how channels can provide practical guidance as well as give psychotherapeutic assistance and foster personal growth. Also described is what individuals seeking assistance can do to benefit most from the assistance provided by channels. One chapter is devoted to advice on how to communicate with one's own intuitive source. In a chapter entitled "Catalyst for Widespread Change," practical benefits of intuition are described and two methods of collective intuition, "intuitive consensus" and "group attunement," are set forth. The authors illustrate the team approach that is beginning to "affect problem solving and decision making in today's society" (p. 124). The book closes with a compilation of forecasts made by the channel Kevin Ryerson and "A Directory of Channels."
