Autobiographical account of orthopedic surgeon Robert O. Becker's research into the nature of healing and regeneration. His experiments with bioelectricity are described; they shed light on the nature of both illness and the healing process. Also discussed are the dangers of Western pollution and the possibility of harnessing these dangers for malicious purposes. The parapsychological implications of Becker's work are presented in Chapter 14.
