Children Who Remember Previous Lives: A Question of Reincarnation Stevenson, Ian
The author, who is a psychiatrist and a pioneer investigator of reincarnation, has written this book about his research for the general reader. Rather than present detailed evidence of reincarnation, he provides a summary of his research methods, the more important of his results, and his conclusions based on the research. Summaries of 12 typical cases are given. When available, references to detailed reports of the cases are provided. The significance of the title is that rather than being a book about reincarnation, this is about children who claim to remember previous lives. As the author puts it: "From studying the experiences of such children some understanding about reincarnation may eventually come. Before that can happen, however, we must become confident that reincarnation offers the best explanation for these children's apparent memories" (p. 1).
