The volume contains the proceedings of the 29th convention of the Parapsychological Association which was held at Sonoma State University in California. With this volume the addresses of authors are included so that they may be contacted to send full copies of papers that are presented in abridged form in RIP. The subject areas of papers include PK (8), free-response ESP studies (3), forced-choice ESP and timing studies (5), displacement (4), psi and geomagnetic factors (6), methodology (4), and theories and tests of theories (3). There are two symposia: "Fifty Years of the Journal of Parapsychology" and "Psi and Systems Theory." There are six roundtables on: Intuitive data sorting vs. PK, what research should we be doing?, channeling, psi and mental health, clinical ethics in psi research, do we discover or create reality?, and one on stage magic and parapsychology. The full texts of Janet F. Quinn's invited address, "Therapeutic Touch: Report of Research in Progress," and Debra H. Weiner's presidential address, "Thoughts on the Role of Meaning in Psi Research," are included. | |
