This is a compilation of ten papers and discussions given at a Parapsychology Foundation conference in Montreal. As the title suggests, most papers dealt with the mind/body problem and psi. Edward F. Kelly started the conference with "Converging Lines of Evidence on Mind/Brain Relations," followed by Charles Honorton's "A Parapsychological Test of Eccles' `Neurophysiological Hypothesis' of Psychophysical Interaction." J. Bigu presented "A Biophysical Approach to Paranormal Phenomena," John Beloff wrote on "Voluntary Movement, Biofeedback Control and PK," and Thomas H. Budzynski discussed biofeedback and brain lateralization. Karl H. Pribram contributed "A Progress Report on the Scientific Understanding of Paranormal Phenomena," and Charles T. Tart gave "An Emergent-Interactionist Understanding of Human Consciousness." "Subliminal Perception and Parapsychology: Points of Contact" was presented by Norman F. Dixon, "The Right Hemisphere: Pathway to Psi and Creativity" was given by Jan Ehrenwald, and the conference closed with "The Mind-Body Problem, Reality, and Psi" by Emilio Servadio. A roundtable discussion completed the conference. | |
