Modern Miracles: An Investigative Report on Psychic Phenomena Associated with Sathya Sai BabaHaraldsson, Erlendur
Record of a ten-year investigation of the psychic abilities of Indian guru, Sathya Sai Baba. Haraldsson, a psychologist, presents his firsthand observations, supported by careful interrogation of witnesses, of a wide variety of phenomena. He also interviewed persons who had known Sai Baba in the various periods of his life, and tried to corroborate evidence and trace critical statements. Haraldsson made eight visits to India in all, on several of which he was accompanied by other parapsychologists. In Part 1, Haraldsson describes his encounters with Sai Baba and gives verbatim responses of witnesses. In Part 2, he evaluates the statements made in the interviews and discusses the major phenomena reported about Sai Baba: apports, raising the dead, dazzling light, teleportation, bilocation, and ESP.
