Born Twice: Total Recall of a Seventeenth-Century Life Ryall, Edward W.
Ryall relates the story of the life he recalls leading as John Fletcher, an English yeoman of the seventeenth century. Ian Stevenson, in the Introduction, compares Ryall's memories of his previous life with the Asian cases Stevenson has studied. He discusses the various hypotheses other than reincarnation that might account for this case. The Introduction includes a bibliography, and Stevenson also provides an appendix, "Notes on Verification of Details in Born Twice," with its own list of references. Whatever the explanation of Ryall's memories, in wealth of detail they surpass other accounts of presumed reincarnation. However, see the criticisms of this case by Wilson, and Stevenson's later modified position (JSPR, 1983, 52, 27).
