Paranormal Borderlands of ScienceFrazier, Kendrick (Ed.).
This is an anthology of 47 articles that originally appeared in the Skeptical Inquirer, the journal of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, which is edited by science writer/editor Kendrick Frazier. There are 43 authors who are primarily psychologists, astronomers, philosophers, investigative journalists, and magicians. They examine various pseudoscientific claims reported in the media in such areas as astrology, ESP, PK, precognition, biorhythms, and UFOs. Parapsychology is the subject of most of the chapters in Book 1: "Skeptical Inquiries into the Paranormal." Book II, "Inquiries into Fringe Science," covers primarily astrophysical phenomena. The emphasis is on distinguishing between "true" science and "pseudo-science."
