Riddle of the Future: A Modern Study of Precognition

MacKenzie, Andrew

Along with Louisa Rhine, Ian Stevenson, and Celia Green, Andrew MacKenzie has specialized in the study of spontaneous psi phenomena. He says: "This book is an attempt to present the evidence for precognition in everyday life. I have not set out to prove that there is such a thing as precognition but simply to present some of the theories relating to it and to give a large number of cases . . . so that readers can make up their own minds on the reality (or non-reality) of precognition" (p. 12). He describes cases from the literature and fresh material he gathered himself. The literature on spontaneous precognition is reviewed in a lengthy introduction, and in a concluding chapter he considers the theories that have been offered to explain precognition.
