A Ghosthunter's Guide to Haunted Landmarks, Parks, Churches, and Other Public PlacesMyers, Arthur
For those who are eager to experience hauntings, this may be a useful guide. It describes 24 public places in 18 states. Included are inns, airports, bars, theaters, hotels, radio station, a California mission, a library, and even Mammoth Caves. As public places, anyone may visit these places. A chapter is devoted to each place, and for each haunt. Myers, who specializes in writing about haunts, provides information on the location, a description of the place, an account of the haunting-type phenomena that have occurred there (usually the largest section), history, the apparent identity of the haunts, their personalities, witnesses, best time to witness, whether it is still haunted, investigations, and sources of the data described. This is a useful source for amateurs (or even professionals) looking for haunted places to experience or investigate. It also is both an entertaining and informative book to read.
