Ghosts in Photographs: The Extraordinary Story of Spirit Photography

Gettings, Fred

This is a profusely illustrated history of spirit photography, or the phenomenon of images which appear on photographic plates or film purportedly through the agency of deceased persons. Most of the historical cases of importance are described. Regrettably, however, cases of fraud—notoriously prevalent in this area—are excluded, so it cannot serve as a history of the subject. Also excluded are instances of the related phenomenon, psychic photography.
