Encounters: A Psychologist Reveals Case Studies of Abductions by ExtraterrestrialsFiore, Edith
In his Foreword, Leo Sprinkle indicates that the cover-up by the government concerning UFOs may be true, but the cover-up at the level of individual contactees is definitely known to him. He gives three reasons for sharing one's experiences. Fiore's book is written first from the viewpoint of a psychotherapist who wants to help people who have encountered a UFO and second from the viewpoint of one who has likely had such experiences herself. She recounts 13 cases in which she used hypnotic age regression to enable people to recall their experiences, quoting from her records. The bulk of the book is devoted to the stories they told her. Some reacted positively, some negatively. She then devotes a chapter to the signs that are positive indicators of UFO experiences. She devotes a chapter to telling people how to use a pendulum to find out if they have encountered a UFO by means of answering 50 questions. She closes with this statement: "I feel that the discovery of visits to our planet Earth by beings from other worlds and their interactions with humans is the most exciting and significant happening of the twentieth century" (p. 267). In an Appendix she lists organizations and hypnotherapists working with abductees/contactees.
