Healing Research: Holistic Energy Medicine and Spirituality. II: Holistic Energy Medicine and the Energy Body

Benor, Daniel J.

This volume complements the first one, although it stands by itself. It deals with "aspects of healing which are less well documented, partly for reasons inherent in their nature. They involve subtle energies which healers sense with their hands and which some can perceive as auras of color around human living beings" (p. 11). It begins by discussing the human potential for self-healing. Various practices are reviewed, and Benor discusses the relevance of psychoneuroimmunology. The second chapter is on energy medicine (a.k.a. vibrational medicine) within holistic approaches. The third chapter explores the fields and forces surrounding the body and the next reviews research on fields and forces in nature that may influence the body’s energy fields, including geobiological effects, radiesthesia (dowsing) and radionics, and astrology. Following a brief conclusion, Appendices A and B from Volume one are reproduced in II, although the latter is slightly expanded.
