Incredible Tales of the Paranormal: Documented Accounts of Poltergeists, Levitations, Phantoms, and Other PhenomenaImich, Alexander (Ed.).
Alexander Imich is a chemist who has devoted his post-retirement to a lifelong interest: parapsychology, the paranormal, and the question of whether there is life after death. His interest was kindled in the 1930s when he had two sittings with the Polish medium Matylda. He says these two séances were among the most powerful experiences of his adolescence. They provided the motivation that propels him till this day. They were definitely exceptional experiences. In his lifelong search for comparable phenomena, he brings together what he considers to be the most incredible phenomena that nonetheless were ably investigated by knowledgeable persons, many expert in their fields. The chapters, and their authors, are about the Italian medium Mirabelli; mediumship in Italy, by Paola Giovetti; the Icelander medium Indridi Indridason, by Loftur R. Gissuarson; Imich’s own chapter on Matylda; the Polish medium Teofil Modrzejewski (Franek Kluski) by Roman Bugaj; Russian physical mediums by Larissa Vilenskaya; and Chinese psychic phenomena by Zhu YiYi.
