PK: Mind Over Matter

Feola, Jose

This is a volume in the "Psychic Explorations" series being published by Dillon Press. Each book in the series serves as an introduction to an aspect of parapsychology written in language understandable by high school students and laymen. The author, whose doctorate is in environmental health, is also a parapsychologist and currently teaches an introductory course at the University of Minnesota. After an introductory chapter, the next five chapters center on spontaneous and mediumistic expressions of PK covering poltergeists, haunts, levitation, materializations, and PK phenomena associated with death. The last five chapters provide a history and review of experimental PK, including a chapter on PK with animals and plants. The emphasis is on encouraging the reader to conduct his or her own experiments. A glossary, tables, an index, and an annotated guide to further reading are useful aids for the student who wishes to go further.
