The Enigma of Daniel Home: Medium or Fraud?

Hall, Trevor H.

This is primarily a critical examination of D.D. Home's most famous levitation at Ashley House and of some other puzzles about the medium that had not previously been explained to Hall's satisfaction, such as the problem of his name. He provides an excellent bibliographic essay on Home in the Introduction. He devotes considerable space to the so-called "mystery of iniquity" connected with Home.
