The Secret Vaults of Time: Psychic Archaeology and the Quest for Man's BeginningsSchwartz, Stephan A.
Writer-lecturer Schwartz describes in depth the major examples of the use of psi in locating archaeological artifacts and information, including the work of Frederick B. Bond, S. Ossowiecki, Scott Elliot, J. Norman Emerson, Edgar Cayce, and Charles Garrud. Also included is a chapter about the studies of Weiant, Swanton, and Long and of what happened at the Rhine-Swanton Symposium on Parapsychology and Anthropology at the 1974 meeting of the American Anthropological Association. Schwartz also discusses the importance of psychic archaeology both within the context of the history of that subject and within science as a whole. The final chapter is an outstanding treatment of the psychology of the sensitive and of the psi investigator. In two lengthy appendices he outlines in detail how to conduct an archaeological investigation with a psychic as part of the team.
