New Choices for Writers: How to Get Published in the New Age Market Gould, Elizabeth (Ed.)
The editor of this well-organized guide to sources believes that the planet is undergoing "an awakening of consciousness ... and a change in the way experiences are expressed" ... so this book "is dedicated entirely to magazines and book publishers committed to exploring the evolving new age consciousness" (p. 4). There is a section devoted to serial publications and one to books. Each is in three parts: Using the Listings, Subject Index, and Sources. However, this is much more than a directory; it is a guide to how to publish as well as where. It contains a chapter offering hints as to why many writers do not get published and what to do about it and another on how to submit manuscripts. There is also a glossary and a publisher index.
