The Wisdom of the Dream: The World of C.G. JungSegaller, Stephen, & Berger, Merrill
This book companions a BBC TV series on psychology that included a biography of Carl G. Jung. The film was an interview with Jung by psychologist Richard Evans. In this book the aim is to describe the major aspects of Jung’s work, especially "where it touches upon the everyday problems and difficulties that people everywhere share." The 10 chapter titles are The World of C.G. Jung, The Reality of the Psyche, The Wisdom of the Dream, A Creative Life, The Secret Life of Relationship—Inner, Outer and Collective Travels in Time and Space, The Inner World by the Outer World, A Meaningful Life, and Reflections on Film. Although multi-faceted, this book only touches on the more salient features of Jung’s life, as would be the case with a film. Still, it provides a useful introduction and take off point from which those who desire may go deeper. The "Selected Further Reading" is annotated.
