Psychoimmunity & the Healing Process: A Holistic Approach to Immunity & AIDSSerinus, Jason (Ed.)
This anthology of papers presents alternative approaches to AIDS, with emphasis on a holistic paradigm. Although AIDS is the primary focus of the book, the approach set forth may be used by anyone with a desire to improve their health. The book's main premise is that the essence of healing is transcendence of separateness through consciousness expansion. By fully opening up, harmony and inner peace will result. There are three parts. The first, "A New Understanding," consisting of seven chapters beginning with a discussion by Jack Schwarz of the relationship between consciousness and the immune system, offers an overall perspective on both the phenomenon of healing life-threatening illness, and the alignment of mind, body, and spirit which is the essence of the healing process. Through the words of some gifted healers and six men who are experiencing healing, it is hoped that a new understanding of the nature of the healing process can be gained. The second, "A Holistic Approach," contains five chapters setting forth techniques for practicing the principles of psychoimmunity. The last part, "Kevin Ryerson's Trance Channelings," consists of five chapters presenting excerpts from transcripts of (mainly) group channeling on aspects of healing and an approach involving mind, body, and spirit. In a section entitled "Resources," Serinus describes organizations, alternative doctors, healers, and other resources such as publications and tapes.
