The Man Beneath the Gift: The Story of My LifeDiOrio, Ralph A., with Gropman, Donald
This autobiography by a charismatic Catholic priest who is a healer describes how healings happen and also describes his experience of God working through him as an instrument. He discusses various experiences associated with his healing ministry such as the "word" or "energy of knowledge," which enables him to see the affliction of the person to be healed, and "slaying in the spirit," all of which are instrumental in his healing. When healing occurs he is in a trance and feels the Holy Spirit take over. He describes various visions. An especially informative chapter is entitled "How I Experience a Healing Service."
