Ena Twigg: MediumTwigg, Ena, with Ruth Hagy Brod
Part I, which comprises two-thirds of the book, consists of an autobiography of the British medium, Ena Twigg. She describes childhood ESP experiences and how her mediumship developed. Considerable space is devoted to the sittings Bishop James A. Pike had with her concerning the death of his son. Part II describes various cases in which persons were helped via Twigg's psychic abilities. Five cases deal with postmortem communications, five involve healing, three involve crime and violence, and six are cases of persons who turned to her for enlightenment, creative inspiration, or the pursuit of knowledge about mediumship. All are persons of some note. The final brief section describes some cases of information received through Mrs. Twigg's mediumship that defy explanation simply by use of her powers of telepathy or clairvoyance.
