Psychic Breakthroughs Today: Fascinating Encounters With Parapsychology's Latest Discoveries

Rogo, D. Scott

This is a popular account of the most interesting parapsychological research conducted from 1970-1986 worldwide. There is a chapter in which Rogo reviews the evidence for psi. Many of the chapters emphasize practical applications: gambling, the stock market, psychic warfare, the power of prayer, and therapeutic touch. Other chapters emphasize attempts to develop and train psi ability. Also reviewed are new developments in OBE research, ESP in animals, new evidence for survival, reincarnation research, shamanism and psi, and even astrology. In the final chapter, "The Failure of Skepticism," he responds to general criticisms of parapsychology, and specifically to those of Carl Sagan and James Randi.
