Paranormal Experience and Survival of DeathBecker, Carl B.
This book could serve as a textbook on evaluating the evidence for survival of death. There are 6 chapters, each dealing with a key subject: Proof of Reincarnation, Invisible Bodies? The Heart of Near-Death Experiences; Philosophy of Science; A Model of Resistance and Change in the Sciences; and What Will the Next World Be Like? What is different and new is his treatment of these subjects. In each of the first three he presents phenomena not considered because they are not appropriate forms of evidence for the topics under consideration. In each case he explains why not. Next he describes the phenomena considered, and why. And lastly he considers objections to the subject under consideration. The last three chapters are more theoretical and do not lend themselves to this treatment. But even there where possible he weighs the pros and cons. The distillate of the foregoing chapters is presented in the last section of the last chapter entitled "The End, A New Beginning," in which he concludes that some people will survive and some not, and those that do may not all survive in the same way. He also raises the possibility that some people may experiencer EHEs after death.
