Essays in Psychical ResearchJames, William
This volume is a reprint of all James's writings on psychical research from 1885 until 1910. They are presented in chronological order, and he wrote something nearly every year of that time span. The writings consist of addresses, reports of experiments or sittings, book reviews, and letters. Robert A. McDermott, in a 24-page Introduction, provides an excellent summary of James' interest and work in psychical research against the backdrop of his other writings. There is a name and subject index to James's writings, which enhances the value of the book. Every amendation to the text is listed in an appendix.
