The Healing Zone: The Work of Jean VaziriBerman, Jude, & Crisp, Alan
This is partly an EHE autobiography and EHE biography of healer/counselor Jean Vaziri, depending on whether she speaks for herself or the two authors are writing. Described are some powerful EHEs of her youth, many associated with death, that led her to her calling as a healer (of bodies, souls, lives, conditions). Several chapters are case histories of people who were helped by Vaziri in exceptional ways. In several instances seemingly acute external problems were solved when Vaziri helped the person involved to love themselves and contact the source of their self-respect, giving themselves permission to realize their highest dream. The solutions, when they occurred, however, were usually exceptional experiences, not linear in nature. The "healing zone" in a sense is Vaziri’s term for the experiential paradigm. Although sometimes actual physical healings of HIV and cancer, for example, are associated with Jean Vaziri—even bringing people back from death, her aim in each case was to work with people to help them contact the great inner power everyone has "to transform their lives, to find and to follow their deepest passion" (p. 1).
