The PoltergeistRoll, William G.
Roll's book was originally published by Nelson Doubleday in 1972 as a book club edition, but it was very difficult to obtain, as was the NAL paperback. It was reprinted by Scarecrow Press in 1976 and, in view of its prior inaccessibility, is being included here. It is one of the best books written on poltergeists and is by a parapsychologist who, among other things, has specialized in poltergeist investigation. Roll describes several cases from the literature, but primarily presents those he has observed himself. In addition there are theoretical chapters, a chapter on PK and consciousness, and one entitled "The Poltergeist: Psychopathology or Human Potential?" An important appendix tells how to investigate poltergeists and hauntings and a five-page suggested reading list is provided.
