Parapsychological Research With Children: An Annotated BibliographyDrewes, Athena A., & Drucker, Sally Ann
This is a useful compendium for anyone interested in doing psi research with children aged 17 or under. In the Introduction, the authors provide guidelines for such research. The major portion of the book is devoted to an annotated bibliography arranged by subject and spanning nearly a century of research. The first three chapters are on Studies of Clairvoyance, Telepathy, and Precognition, respectively, with further subdivisions by three age groups: infancy to 12 years, 13 to 15 years, and 15 to 17 years. The fourth chapter is on Psychokinesis. The fifth and sixth are on Poltergeists and Reincarnation, and are mainly about spontaneous case reports. A miscellaneous chapter covers OBEs, NDEs, and general articles. Also included, at the beginning, are six papers that were presented at a panel discussion at the Thirty-Third Parapsychological Association Convention in 1990. The titles and authors are "Controversies in Parapsychological Research With Children" (Sally Ann Drucker); "Children’s Development and ESP" (Athena A. Drewes); "Psi Ability Among Youth" (H. Kanthamani); "The Exceptional Human Functions Research in China" (Raymond Lee); "Observing Psychic Wonderkids: Pitfalls and Precautions" (Stanley Krippner); and "Children’s Memories of Previous Lives" (James G. Matlock). The ensuing discussion is also included.
