John Lilly, So FarJeffrey, Francis, & Lilly, John C.
This biography of John Lilly begins with an NDE and encounter with angels at 10 in 1925 through 1989. It differs from most biographies in that it emphasizes what Lilly learned from each of the life experiences encountered. Growth in knowledge, consciousness, and experience have been paramount with Lilly from a young age. Featured are his work with sensory isolation and with dolphins, experiences at Arica that formed the basis of his "quantum jumping consciousness theory," ketamine dissociation, LSD, his experience of "alternity" (all possibilities), and his sojourn at Esalen. In addition to highlighting Lilly's key insights, the book features the well-known people who touched his life—a who's who of consciousness studies. This is simply the amazing story of the life of an amazing man.
